Spaing

Is that a word?  I have not gone to the spa in so long.  I’m thinking about going today.

they are free

I’m so happy the Columbia hostages are free!  I’ve been reading about this since early this year and was so depressed that these people were in such a hell.  I would literally think of them whenever things were going really good in my life, and try to send them good thoughts because I wanted to acknowledge their situation in my head, and get some perspective on the world.

on fire
Posted by Donna at 11:18 am in Erik, food, funny

Yesterday I was on fire.  While in the produce area of the grocery store I looked for radishes and went up an aisle.  After not finding any I said, “well that was another fruitless search.”

Then Erik was looking around the house for something, I picked up a Mr. Goodbar from my computer desk, held it up to him and said “Looking for this?”

I was sick all day, but I’m feeling much better now.  The day really flys by when you sleep for 8 hours of it.

I am using a Wiki program at work to organize a murder case.  It’s remarkably useful.  Finally my nerd skills and law skills collide.

Tomorrow is Monday, yay!  “Mole” day.

Here’s a link to one of the best short stories I have ever read.  Orientation

keys
Posted by Donna at 11:39 am in Charlie, Erik, Odd, ProClub, career, family

Erik and I went to get keys made yesterday at this little kiosk in the parking lot of Fred Meyers.  The people running the place were watching TV and just as Erik and I walked in the space shuttle took off.

I have to run an eat something, I have an interview with a lawyer at 2 to work on a murder case.

After I get out of the interview I’m going to go get Charlie and take him swimming at the ProClub.

Finals Hell
Posted by Donna at 8:42 pm in Charlie, school, sister

Yes, I know all I talk about is law school and how hard it is.  Here’s another whine.  I have a Torts final tomorrow!!  That has been my worst class so far.  I’m in the process of making a list of things to write down on my scratch paper the minute the test starts.  I practice writing it over and over and then once I write it down during the final I can use it, like an open book, as I take the test.  That does not seem like something a brilliant person would do as far as I’m concerned.  But it’s what I do.  :)
A week from today my sister and nephew leave Iowa for Seattle!  Unbelievable!

three more days…
Posted by Donna at 1:25 pm in Charlie, Erik, Vacation, family, school, sister

After classes today I only have three more days of classes until the first year is over.  I start finals on May 5th and then they end on May 15th.  On the 17th, a Saturday, Erik and I then go on vacation to the Oregon house (in Depot Bay) we went to last time, “Whale Vista.”  I can’t wait to go, it’s going to be so nice.  I will be excited to get home after that because Sherry and Charlie are moving back while we are in Oregon, so they will be in Seattle when we get back.  This summer I’m not going to take any classes, so it will be a nice relaxing summer!

I forgot I had a blog for the past few days.  That is okay though, because I was sick.  I’m feeling better today but I am not 100%.  I feel like if I exercise more I’ll feel better.  I went to the gym this morning and walked for a bit.  Then hit the spa for a few hours.  I haven’t been going to the spa for about two months.  I’m going to be doing that more now.

File under “Odd”

Yesterday I was in Top Foods buying a warm loaf of Vienna bread when I suddenly noticed they were playing “The Killing Moon” as the background music.  Um… Odd!

Property

I’m sitting in Property class and my teacher is talking about whether you designed your building out of necessity or spite.  I keep flashing back to a Seinfeld episode where he took some jacket back to the shop where he bought it because the cashier was rude to him.  When he took it back they asked him why, he said, “Spite.”
