In an attempt to retrieve a bag out of the back of my car I opened the door too far and smashed my middle finger between the door and a wooden shelf that sits in my garage. Upon doing so I then let go of the door which had not opened far enough to stay open and subsequently slammed into the side of my head, hurting my ear. It took a full minute before I started to laugh instead of crying.
